On October 29, the Symposium on Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the founding of Ideological and Political Education and Innovating Ideological and Political Education in the New Era jointly organized by the Ideological and Political Education Research Center of Ethnic Minority College Students, a key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences in Hubei Province, was held in the Academic Exchange Center of our school.

BianJing,Secretary of the Party Committee of our University;Luo Yuting, dean of the Institute of Ideological and Political Education of Wuhan University; Xu Yanguo, Party secretary and Vice president of Hubei Academy of Social Sciences; Xu Baicai, former deputy secretary of the Party Committee of our university and other leaders and scholars attended the meeting; responsible comrades of relevant functional departments of the university; experts from the research center and representatives of teachers and students of our college attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Tang Zhenhua, Party Secretary of the School of Marxism.

At the opening ceremony, BianJing pointed out that the innovation and development of ideological and political education should be promoted.Li Haibo, dean of our college, delivered a speech on behalf of the college, introducing the college's education and teaching, personnel training, ideological and political course construction and other aspects. Xu Baicai expressed gratitude and hope to the relevant units and experts. In the expert report, Luo Yuting, Qin Zaidong, Xie Chengyu and Zhao Jiwei expounded successively, focusing on the innovation and development of ideological and political education in the new era and providing talents support for the Chinese modernization construction.

At the closing ceremony, Dong Jie, executive director of the Center, said that the seminar provided an opportunity for exchange and laid a foundation for promoting the innovative development of ideological and political education.
